The Philosophy Behind the Practice
My leadership philosophy rests on a simple belief: exceptional hospitality begins with how we treat people.
People remember how you make them feel. While hospitality organizations focus on memorable guest experiences, I believe that same care and intentionality must first extend to our internal guests, our team members. Hospitality is built from the inside out. When people feel valued and empowered, they create extraordinary experiences for others. Strong service cultures aren't built through policy alone; they're built by leaders who listen, recognize contributions, invest in development, and make people feel seen.
Leadership is defined by consistency of character. Titles change; integrity, fairness, and accountability shouldn't. Under pressure, I do what's right for the long term, even when it isn't easiest; communicating honestly, deciding thoughtfully, and treating people with respect.
The legacy I hope to leave is not measured solely by business results, but by the people I have helped develop along the way. I want those I have led to say they grew stronger, more capable, and more confident because of their experience working with me. That they were challenged to achieve high standards while receiving the support, encouragement, and belief needed to reach them.
As Will Guidara teaches, unreasonable hospitality starts with people. I believe great leadership does as well. When leaders invest in their teams, serve with integrity, and lead with kindness, they create cultures where people flourish, guests feel the difference, and organizations achieve lasting success.
